Fight Displays

Since the very beginning (1985) The Clann has specialised in recreating period skirmishes between the highland clans.  Often disagreements between families and in-laws could end up being settled in this way in centuries past. In addition, the Clann has developed scenarios involving the dreaded English regiment foot solders, The Redcoat .

These fight displays are not limited to pure violence, there is an educational element which is often used in public performances not to mention a few laughs along the way.

If blood and guts is what you want, then we can oblige. This is usually limited to film or TV productions as we regard public displays as family entertainment, therefore this level of simulated violence would be unsuitable for young children.

The Clann combat technique has been recognised by the Scottish Martial Arts Federation as a valid and safe fighting style. This style allows The Clann to safely reproduce combat scenarios as required during live performances or filming.
